Welcome, Bienvenidos, Aloha, Sak Pa Se, Ciao…Magic is happening here at the Spoke N’ Heart Collective – we’re joining thousands of other social justice activists at the United States Social Forum in Detroit, Michigan in June of 2010. Of course, we’re planning to get there by bicycle.

We hit the road on Friday, June 11th, and arrive in Detroit on Friday June 18th.

The Road To Detroit Route:
Beginning on the Bongo Beach Lakefront on Chicago’s historic Southside, (Hayes and Lakeshore Drive) we will ride our hearts out through the flat-lands of the Midwest.  We’ll pass through three states: Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan and cover a mere 276 miles. Check out the official route here.

Along the way, we are building community with one another and with the people we meet throughout the beautiful land we’ll cover. We’ll sleep under the stars, break bread, build, do cartwheels, fly kites, harvest food, and a whole heap of other things together in the name of change, solidarity, love and peace!
