Hit the Road
If you’re thinking about creating a hub to join the Road to Detroit from Chicago, or you’re interested in creating a social justice bike tour anytime, anywhere, the Spoke N’ Heart Collective has created a resource guide to help you plan your ride. Use the links to the right or below to access the resources.
Creating a Hub: A hub is an autonomous group that will ride in solidarity with other hubs on the road to Detroit. Hubs allow for folks to be a part of a larger group (folks riding to Detroit from Chicago) but, still allows for self-organizing and accountability to themselves. Hubs can be created around any commonality or not, for example: a vegan Hub, all women’s hub, curly hair hub, environmentalist hub, etc. Hubs can consist of friends and family or complete strangers. Hubs are asked to send a spoke (one representative) to the spokescouncil to support our collective experience and coordinate activities like campground reservations and route planning.
If you’re ready to join the Road to Detroit, click here to tell us about yourself and your hub.
